The construction of this center channel was an interesting challenge because the top of this TV is very small. I deconstructed my MTM center speaker, and built one with the same crossover design as my budget speakers. Both designs feature each driver wired with normal polarity and the same crossover point. The designs are similar enough that I have no complaints about imaging, or a change in sound due to panning. Because the TV top has very little depth, I opted for a side mounted port. I placed the tweeter in the middle for symmetry, and the port and woofer on opposite sides. There is a large blank spot on the left side, which would be perfect for a company logo should I ever get arround to painting one there.
